How much does a burial with a graveside service cost in Mississippi?
$6,035. That is the median of the figures posted by the 16 funeral homes in Mississippi whose price lists we have read for a burial with a graveside service. The least expensive of them is $3,880 and the most expensive is $7,275.
The price lists behind these figures are dated Jul 1, 2024 to Aug 3, 2026. We last checked them between Aug 17, 2026 and Sep 18, 2026.
Every figure is that home's own posted price with its county's permit fee and one certified copy of the death certificate added, wherever both are on file, rounded once. Open a home to change the county or the number of copies.
What this includes
A state's median is the middle of the figures the homes in it show, so it carries the same county fees and the same one certified copy those figures carry.

We hold posted prices in 10 of Mississippi's 82 counties. We are still collecting in the other 72, and a county is missing from this list because we have not read a price list there yet, not because its funeral homes charge nothing.

Other questions about Mississippi
No funeral home charges the median. It's where to start, not what you'll pay. The home you call will quote its own price, and the Federal Trade Commission's Funeral Rule requires it to give you a price list you can keep when you sit down with it.
